The MX Master 4 is a low, sculpted palm mouse. The Lift stands the hand in a handshake. One is not a cheaper version of the other.
If the forearm already hates pronation on a conventional mouse, the Lift is the shape that addresses that. If the job is long sessions on a desk with a palm-down grip, MagSpeed, and a Darkfield sensor, that is the 4.

Praise from that page and from salopek.io sits next to AppleInsider's complaints about size and the dongle. iFixit Answers threads report left-click failures after about two years.
